About CPC
The Jackson County Children's Policy Council (CPC) is a community-driven organization mandated by the state of Alabama to advocate for the well-being of children and families in our county. Open to all who wish to participate, the CPC brings together a diverse group of community members who share a commitment to addressing the needs of our most vulnerable populations. Each year, we conduct a comprehensive Needs Assessment to identify the top three issues impacting children and families in Jackson County. This assessment not only highlights critical areas of concern but also details the accomplishments and new resources developed within the county over the past year.
In addition to the state-sanctioned CPC, we have established a 501(c)(3) nonprofit branch with its own board of directors. This nonprofit entity is dedicated to raising funds and applying for grants to support programs and services that address the needs identified by the CPC. While the CPC identifies priorities and advocates for solutions, the nonprofit board has the responsibility and authority to manage financial decisions and allocate resources accordingly. Together, these two bodies work in tandem to ensure that the children and families of Jackson County receive the support they need to thrive.
By combining our resources and expertise, we strive to create impactful initiatives that empower every child in our community. We invite you to learn more about our work and explore our annual Needs Assessments by visiting https://www.alcpc.org/jackson.
